I live in Portland, Oregon, and currently work for the local gas company doing regulatory work. I grew up on Wisconsin, living for the longest period in the greater Milwaukee area. I went to the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where I got a Ph.D. in economics. Subsequently, I taught at the Victoria University of Wellington, Wellington, NZ; at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington and at the University of the Americas in Cholula, Mexico. I met my wife (subsequently divorced) in New Zealand, and have two children, both now living and attending university in NZ. My current residence is on Portland's suburban northwest side. I live with my sweeheart, Marianne, the dogs (Zap, Che and Zeek), the Gracious, the cat. (Picasso ran off). Gemstone George (our former homeless person) died suddenly this summer. He is missed. We now have Sergio, a Cuban man who does wonderful housework. Chaitra has fled to California with Chad, don't ask, and may or may not return--I think, now, Chad is gone and Chaitra is in Colorado with her mom. Jessica (Marianne's daughter) continues her quest for perfection in glass work, and success in her pursuit of a Mechanical Engineering Degre. All in all, an excellent life.
